本種は本州から南西諸島に分布する。成虫はユリ科やヒガンバナ科の花でみられる他、ネジバナの花からよく採集される。

This species is recorded from Honshu to the Ryukyu Islands in Japan, and is also distributed in Bermuda and Taiwan. It usually occurs on the flowers of Liliaceae and Amaryllidaceae, and also commonly found from Spiranthes sinensis.
